Founded in 1870 Nalanda College is one of the reputed colleges of Bihar offering under graduate, graduate and post graduate education programs. Situated in Biharsharif (district headquarter of Nalanda District) it is a constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar. Affiliated permanently in 1920 to Magadh University, Bodh Gaya it is one of the premier co-educational institutions of the state of Bihar imparting teachings to thousands of students with excellent environment.

The college is laced with excellent teaching tools/ads such as televisions, OHPs, LCDs, and VCPs/and VCRs. There are 80 PCs in Computer Centre of this college.
